Well—the first major holiday of the season is now over and all I can say is how much I am looking forward to Christmas and New Years. About as much as sticking an ice pick in my forehead.
We capped off the Thanksgiving holiday with an exhilarating drive from

There are a bunch of folks who read this ridiculous blog because they actually think I might have something interesting to say or they think I’m amusing. As you know—I amuse the hell out of myself with regularity. And the older I get the easier it becomes to amuse myself. What I regret is that I have to amuse myself with mental gymnastics rather than physical gymnastics as the physical stuff is not doable any longer.
None of my regular readers make comments on the public board due to my behavior on the previous board I sponsored where I was less than kind to people who disagreed with my point of view. So, even though I have taken a much lighter, kinder and gentler approach on this board and use it primarily to post my random idiotic thoughts; if they feel the need to comment they send me a private email as they would rather I just behave myself on the public board.
You are a much different case you as you actually believe that I’m a genius. Not just any genius—but your genius. How warped are you? I am delighted that you are here and watching my insane contemplations, idiotic notions and bizarre wisdom. It will make me happy to know that on the other end of this blog there is someone smiling if I use the phrase “Pavlotti Hey” or “Ring pass Snot”
Please give my very best regards to Clyde. And remember that you are always in my thoughts.
Turkey Blogging will continue at the end of the weekend for the rest of you fools.

The day of giving Thanks and feasting has arrived. I’m now safely ensconced at my in-laws house in
The day began with the dusting and a trip to Tim Horton’s for donuts and coffee. I made sure to get a bunch of coffee to take home so I can alternate between Dunkin Donuts coffee (which I can get at home) and Tim Horton’s coffee (which I can’t). How sick is that? I was a big Starbucks fan for a while but the taste of the different brands/blends never seemed any different. All Starbucks coffee tastes the same to me but Dunkin Donuts always tastes good and never too harsh.

So—here I am at the Tampa International Airport “Turkey Blogging”. It is the first major event of the holiday season and the first major bullshit reason to not get anything done other than watch football and eat. What is a) depressing b) infuriating and c)typical is that I got to the airport two and a half hours prior to departure time and the god-damned airport is less populated than on any given business day. With all the hype about this being the heaviest travel day of the year I got though security in less than 10 minutes when it would take me 20 or more on a normal business trip during the work week. I even took a picture to prove it. The bottom line is that I now have to sit here watching a bunch of kids run around sans their ADD medication while their parents pretend that they’re cute from being a real loud and royal pain in the ass.
Dan Rather resigned---Good! It’s about time. First he is a dishonest prick. Second he’s a fool because he lies to himself. He actually believes he is NOT biased. This from a guy who tried to bag the president with phony documents after he gave a kissy face interview to Saddam Huinsane. This from a guy who publicly gave the Clinton’s an on-air blow job and ambushed Bush 41. He should have been on the payroll of the DNC and not CBS.
Rather has been losing ratings for 10 years and his mind for 20. This is a guy that I always thought would come screaming out of an elevator, naked as a Jay Bird, wielding a fire axe screaming that his brain was in a vacuum and we all need to have more courage. The guy was a certifiable whack job. This is an idiot who at age 70 stood out in a hurricane to prove his manhood. Oh Yea---that really gives me a sense that this guy is a great reporter.
The logic test for CBS is why do you fire a producer for breaking news of Arafat’s assumption of room temperature and not fire Dan and Mary for trying to unseat a sitting president with fraudulent evidence from a source that is tarnished? Perhaps this is the reason that Dan was able to have such a long career with CBS. They just flat run a shitty operation and have no ethical compass.
NID—National Intelligence Director:
Ya gotta love the hysterics of the MSM and left wing liberal weenies over the conference committee inability to mollify two House committee chairmen and get a consensus Bill passed. It’s as if not passing a Bill replete with every single recommendation made by the 9/11 commission is somehow not a good Bill. Hogwash! This is another one of those massive pieces of legislation that I’m willing to bet none of them have actually read.
They are hung up on only two issues. The issuance of driver’s license to illegal aliens and direct access to satellite intelligence by those operators on the ground in combat hot zones. Seems to me that they ought to be able to work this out and I’m of the mind that anyone who thinks it’s a good idea for illegals to be able to get valid driver’s licenses are out of their minds and I hope the Bill never passes. You do remember that those fine young Arab terrorists who took out the World Trade Center and 3,000 of our citizens had 61 (that’s right—61) drivers licenses between them. You did remember that---didn’t you? I wonder if the clowns in the conference committee do.
Back to the Thanksgiving trip from hell.
I’m flying Southwest, which is without a doubt the very best run airline in this Nation. Even better, now you can go on-line and download a boarding pass which allows you to be in boarding group “A” which makes you think that you are going to be in the first group that boards. NOT ON THE HOLIDAYS Sparky! On these holiday times you have young couples with lots of little kids that are traveling home or to Grandma’s house and they get to board first. So on this day, even though I am in Group A the plane is half full by the time I get to board. So—I take the very first open aisle seat (row three) and sit next to a very old couple who are at least in their 90’s and obviously got to board early and in front of me—in back of me—and across the asile from me are CHILDREN. Children with colds—children with runny noses---children screeching---children crying---or just spilling their juice all over the place, while Mommy is trying to cope and disappear into her seat.
In spite of all the kids the thing that goes haywire is the old guy next to me. About an hour out of my destination the old guy starts yelling and clutching his chest and stomach. We are in a little turbulence and the seat belt sign is on but this guy is standing straight up and yelling about heartburn. I can’t ignore him and neither can anyone else. Next thing I know he hurls all over the kids in the row in front of us. I immediately head for the rest room to hide and I stay there until we are on final. When I get back to my seat the guy looks like he will die any minute but I try and pretend as if this is normal and sit there looking straight ahead wishing the minutes to fly by so I can get the hell off this plane.
Now that we are on the ground—don’t you know that the people sitting in the front row need a wheel chair and insist on getting off first. So the entire plane has to wait while these elders are carried off the plane and deposited in wheel chairs. I am now of a mood and mind to roll them right off the jet way and on to the tarmac. Finally I’m off the plane and into the terminal, and guess what—I’m beginning to feel the first twinges of “bubonic common cold”. Those little bastards!

Quote of the Day
James Carville, twelve days before the election: “If we can’t win this damn election, with a Democratic Party more unified than ever before, with us having raised as much money as the Republicans, with 55% of the country believing we’re heading in the wrong direction, with our candidate having won all three debates, and with our side being more passionate about the outcome than theirs — if we can’t win this one, then we can’t win s**t! And we need to completely rethink the Democratic Party.”
Let the rethinking begin.
French Terror Alert
AP and UPI reported that the French Government announced yesterday that it
has raised its terror alert level from "run" to "hide." The only two
higher levels in
The raised alert was precipitated by the recent fire which destroyed one
Fallujah Outrage My Ass
I understand that Muslims are a bit upset that an injured insurgent was shot in a Mosque in Fallujah. Tell you what. There's a lot of Marines who are upset about being shot at from Mosques. When insurgents attack American forces from Mosques, those buildings cease being a Mosque. They become an enemy stronghold. When the world's Muslims show one-half the concern for the actions of their brethren that they express over the actions of American and coalition forces maybe we'll start paying some attention.
The Pentagon says that it's concerned how this video is going to play in the Arab world. At this point, who gives a damn? The Arab world is quite proud of the videos it shows of Arabs cutting heads off Americans. They seem to handle that quite well. They even celebrate it. Let them be angered. We're angered too. When they start to adopt some semblance of civilized behavior maybe we'll start being more concerned about their feelings.
The rules of war, the Geneva Convention, do not protect soldiers who are not wearing their own country's uniforms. To get the protection of rules, you have to play by the rules.
Terrorists are not enemy soldiers covered by the rules of war. Nor should they be. They observe no rules.
Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, and the United Nations can all talk about "the Geneva Convention." But that agreement on the rules of war has never applied to combatants not wearing the uniform of any country that is a party to the Geneva Convention.
Terrorists wear no uniform and show no mercy, as they have repeatedly demonstrated by beheading innocent civilians, including women.
Why any such terrorists should be captured alive in the first place is a real question. Maybe they have information that could be useful. But every terrorist our troops try to capture alive increases the risk of death for American combat troops.
It is more than enough to ask a man to put his life on the line for his country, without needlessly increasing those risks by trying to be nobler than thou or playing to the international gallery. The very fact that this Marine in Fallujah has been taken out of combat and is under investigation can only have an inhibiting effect on other troops.
The inhibitions under which American troops have already had to fight have needlessly jeopardized their safety while we tiptoe around the delicate sensibilities of the media, European critics and "the Arab street."
The Times of London refers to a Marine "killing an unarmed man in cold blood." If that was his purpose he could have opened fire when he entered the room, instead of waiting until he saw an Iraqi terrorist faking being dead -- for what purpose the Marine had no way of knowing.
We cannot fight wars to please The Times of London or the other nay-sayers and nit-pickers that have been against us from the beginning. There is no point trying to appease people who are not going to be appeased anyway. And to do so at an increased risk to American lives would be criminal.
Are you ready for some football????????
Can it get any better than this? It’s RIVAL WEEKEND!
Ya just gotta love this time of year if you’re a football fan. From now until about mid-January one can sit in their living room and OD on football, both college and Pro. Add the beginning of NBA and college hoops—be still my heart!
From Neal Boortz:
The media is attacking Condi attacking her with political cartoons that are beyond racist (see below). You can only imagine what would happen if a conservative cartoonist created a cartoon using basic black stereotypes to make fun of a black Democratic nominee? The liberal lynch mobs would be out front with pitch forks before the second edition came out. The cartoonists are demeaning a black conservative now ... so not a peep.
Will race pimps like Jesse Jackson be defend Condoleezza Rice? How about Al "The Liar" Sharpton? Will the useless NAACP come to her defense? Will other so-called "civil rights" groups and race warlords hail the importance of her appointment as the first black female secretary of state? What about the National Organization for Women? Will NOW be celebrating this appointment? You know the answer to all of these questions ... and that answer is not only "no," but "hell no." Of course not, and the reason is simple: these groups were never about protecting anyone's rights except those of liberal Democrats.
Never forget...there are two sets of rules not only for the media, but for the civil rights hacks out there. One set for the Democrats and one for Republicans.
Isn’t still amazing to anyone what kind of impact Alan Greenspan has on the market?
Has anyone else noticed that the fatter Linda gets the dumber she gets? At this point in her life about the best thing we could do is install lights on her sides and consider her a singing Goodyear Blimp with message board to boot.

There is a lot of breast beating and hand wringing beginning on this Marine who shot a wounded insurgent in the Falluja house-to-house battle for the city.
Get a grip people! I don’t care what the circumstances were, the Marine did the right thing. I don’t care what happened before he got there or after he got there, he did the right thing. And just in case you left wing liberal weenies have conveniently forgotten—Lt. Kerry was given the Silver Star for shooting a wounded VietCong boy in the back. Can you say "Double Standard"?
My view is that if the press tries to indict this Marine or make him the bad guy in this they are going to get a backlash from the American public that they just are not ready for. The people of this country (with the exception of the liberal elite and the MSM press) are not going to give a damn about the circumstances of how or why that rag- head lost his life. One day before he got to take a sand nap he was trying to kill any Marine he could. Bodies have been booby-trapped, insurgents have pretended to be dead and fired on troops and at the end of the day house-to-house fighting is of a nature that you shoot first and sort out the bodies later.
I don’t care on any level what the circumstances were. That young Marine did the right thing!

Not bad as weekends go. The weather has turned a little cooler which makes the daytime activities easier to deal with. That assumes I would go outside but its football season so anything I don’t get done by noon is put on hold as the games get underway.Saturday was a great day for great college football. Ohio State/Purdue—Miami/Virginia—Auburn/Georgia were my three best games of the day.
The pro schedule on Sunday was another great football day. I have a satellite system in the house and can see most of the college games on Saturday and all the pro games on Sunday.
Here’s a beauty:
And yet the truth of the matter is:
Fatah gunmen on Sunday evening stormed a mourning tent in
Two Palestinian policemen were killed in the ensuing gun battle, which lasted for more than 10 minutes. Abbas was unhurt, but his bodyguards threw him to the ground as the shooting intensified.
The two were identified as Kamal Abu Kainas, member of Force 17, or presidential guard, and Raed Darwish of the Preventative Security Force.
Palestinian security officials said they were among scores of security officers guarding Abbas and Dahlan.
Palestinian security officials revealed Monday that this was not the first incident of its kind to erupt in the
Over the weekend, Palestinian security sources reported, an incident similar to the purported assassination attempt against Abbas threatened to transpire, but PA security forces managed to defuse the situation before it devolved into violence.
Fageddaboutit!! The EU think everything is OK, so what the hell? Its going swimmingly.
Yassar Arafat’s coma is deeper today then it was Friday.
And on the domestic front:
Colin Powell has announced his resignation. It was always thought that he only wanted to serve a single term, but now that he has resigned it’s only a matter of time until the “Whackado Wing” of the Democrat Party fashion a line of argument that he was forced out.
Need to get a little work done now—so more later.

Pretty amazing stuff.
They have no evidence but this schmuck gets convicted of first degree murder of his wife and second degree for an unborn son. All I can say is that I’m glad this circus is over and I don’t have to watch anymore of this stupid spectacle or hear about it in the news. I still can’t understand why this case took on such big stature in the annals of legal history.
The Canes meet up with the
I have the occasion to travel and it must be my age because I’m finding that I get irritated with just about everything and everyone at airports these days. From the idiots who have those god-damned ear pieces and microphones on their heads connected to the cell phones that they hold out and who can’t seem to have a conversation above a shout to the fat smelly dickweed who always ends up sitting next to me, I just don’t want to fly anymore. The cell phone stuff is really driving me nuts. How can so many have so much to say only when they are waiting to board the plane. And why do I have to listen to their conversations that usually are nothing more than bullshit. And there is always the person sitting in the waiting area that seems to be talking to themselves until you notice that they are actually talking on their phone with one of those ear plugs. I try to walk past them and fart. It’s always good to watch their reaction and need to relate the event to whomever they are talking to. At least they have something interesting to say with my fartual encounters.
Yesterday I saw this guy plug in his charger to his cell and then begin a series of phone calls to friends. Then there was the obvious college kid talking up a blue streak, loud enough so that you had to hear him, with the most outrageous conversations you would have thought the guy was chairman of Citibank. I think he wasn’t talking to anyone on the other line and was lip syncing the whole damn thing.
Now that I’m older and my ass is bigger the seats don’t feel as comfortable any longer. I have this new thing with Southwest in that I want to be in boarding group “B” and then pick the two skinniest people on the aisle and window to sit between. By being in group “A” they get to pick you and I always manage to attract the biggest, smelliest, ugliest, slob with breath like kerosene. Better I should pick then them.
A CBS News producer who cut into prime time programming to announce the death of Yasser Arafat has been fired.
But Dan Rather, Mary Mapes, and the others involved in CBS’s attempt to influence a presidential election with fraudulent documents continue to distribute “news” to the American public.
Just so I have this right: if you put a fake story on the air at CBS, the news divison closes ranks around you but if you put a real story on the air they drop you like a too wet taco in a too greasy burrito bar.
ARAFAT is still dead:
The Syrian Defense Minister called Arafat "the son of sixty thousand whores," but Jimmy Carter called him "a powerful human symbol and forceful advocate" for a Palestinian homeland.
That’s why I always think of Jimma as our crazy Uncle in the Attic.
Bias---what are you off our meds?????
The Center for Media and Public Affairs conducted a study of the media's coverage of the 2004 presidential campaign. Their findings.
"John Kerry is getting the most favorable network news coverage of any presidential candidate in the past quarter century."
CMPA began these studies in the 1980 presidential election.
As for Bush's treatment by the press, the president's "coverage is highly negative this year, but doesn't approach the record for bad press held by Ronald Reagan."
Some of the numbers:
"John Kerry's total of 58 percent positive evaluations (and 42% negative) since Labor Day is the best press any general election candidate... George W. Bush has only 36 percent positive evaluations (and 64% negative) in the same period."
Over the past seven elections, the Democratic party has seen the bulk of the good press.
"[S]ince 1980, the Democratic candidate has gotten significantly better press in four - Kerry, Clinton in 1992 and 1996, and Mondale in 1984; the Republican has fared better in one - George H.W. Bush over Dukasis in 1988; and two have been about even -- Bush vs. Gore in 2000 and Carter vs. Reagan in 1980."
The aging CBS anchor did his part as well, most notably with his promotion of fraudulent documents that were damaging to Bush.
Happy football folks:

Veterans Day, 2004
By the President of the United States of America
In Focus: Veterans
Americans live in freedom because of our veterans' courage, dedication to duty, and love of country. On Veterans Day, we honor these brave men and women who have served in our Armed Forces and defended our Nation.
Across America, there are more than 25 million veterans. Their ranks include generations of citizens who have risked their lives while serving in military conflicts, including World War II, Korea, Vietnam, the Persian Gulf, and the war on terror. They have fought for the security of our country and the peace of the world. They have defended our founding ideals, protected the innocent, and liberated the oppressed from tyranny and terror. They have known the hardships and the fears and the tragic losses of war. Our veterans know that in the harshest hours of conflict they serve just and honorable purposes.
Through the years, our veterans have returned home from their duties to become active and responsible citizens in their communities, further contributing to the growth and development of our Nation. Their commitment to service inspires all Americans.
With respect for and in recognition of the contributions our service men and women have made to the cause of peace and freedom around the world, the Congress has provided (5 U.S.C. 6103(a)) that November 11 of each year shall be set aside as a legal public holiday to honor veterans.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, GEORGE W. BUSH, President of the United States of America, do hereby proclaim November 11, 2004, as Veterans Day and urge all Americans to observe November 7 through November 13, 2004, as National Veterans Awareness Week. I urge all Americans to recognize the valor and sacrifice of our veterans through ceremonies and prayers. I call upon Federal, State, and local officials to display the flag of the United States and to encourage and participate in patriotic activities in their communities. I invite civic and fraternal organizations, places of worship, schools, businesses, unions, and the media to support this national observance with commemorative expressions and programs.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand this ninth day of November, in the year of our Lord two thousand four, and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred and twenty-ninth.

And Democrats still think he's stupid!
Think about it. In 10 short years, George Walker Bush has won not just one but three high-profile political races that most able politicians would have lost.
In 1994, with no real previous political experience, he beat a popular incumbent governor in the nation's second most populous state. Six years later, he beat a sitting vice president during a time of peace and prosperity. And last week, with a mediocre economy, an unpopular war and a well-funded and unified opposition, he not only won his race but also helped increase Republican majorities in the House and Senate.
And all of this while his opponents derided him as a brain-dead chimp.

She's a small business, and she knows more about her tax return than Teresa Heinz Kerry knows about hers. Mrs Kerry farms it out to the best advisers money can buy, and they do a grand job: she's one of the richest women in the world and she paid 12 per cent tax last year. It makes no difference whether the tax rate is 20 per cent, 50 per cent or 88 per cent: the Kerrys of the world will still pay 12 per cent.
The American people don't want to be condescended to by ketchup heiresses, billionaire currency speculators, $20-million-a-picture
The Democrats keep talking to people as if they're like John Edwards's 40-year mill-workers, but that's not what work is any more, and a 23-year-old hairdresser can know enough about starting and running a business to be unimpressed at a few footling tax credits dangled in front of her by a 60-year-old lifelong "public servant" lucky enough to be living a grand old life thanks to his billionaire wife's first husband.
From Captain's Quarters
All Hail The New Victims – Democrats
Just when I thought it was impossible for Democrats to sink any lower in their post-election tantrums -- after all, it's hard to top secession as a political strategy for the arrested-development set -- now they have their very own psychological disorder, according to the Boca Raton News:
The Boca Raton News reported Tuesday that
"I had one friend tell me he's never been so depressed and angry in his life," Schooler said. "I observed patients threatening to leave the country or staring listlessly into space. They were emotionally paralyzed, shocked and devastated," he told the daily.
"We're calling it 'post-election selection trauma' and we're working to develop a counseling program for it," said Rob Gordon, the Boca Raton-based executive director of the American Health Association.
I have a theory that Democrats are secretly thrilled to have lost this election to George Bush, and this report confirms it. Nothing makes a Leftist happier than to belong to a victim class, and now they have created one that may exceed any that came before. It makes them feel more complete than even an official apology would. Next up, of course, is forcing employers and health-care providers to recognize it as a disability under
I would have thought that such a report could only be published by the Onion, but unfortunately this may be the least irrational reaction by Democrats this week. We've had MS-NBC's Lawrence O'Donnell call for secession, his colleague Keith Olbermann proclaim the election rigged (while providing no evidence whatsoever), and massive requests for immigration information from Kerry supporters to everywhere except, oddly enough,
So far, the Democrats are demonstrating that they are anything but; in order to support democracy, one has to accept when their candidate loses as well as when they win. I'd like to ask how it feels to be less committed to democracy than the Afghanis, whose opposition candidates readily accepted their election results despite numerous hardships and difficulties. It's embarrassing when mainstream voices in a major party call for the breakup of the

Zapatero: We Don't Need No Stinkin' Americans
The Sun (UK) reports in its typically urgent prose that Spanish PM Jose Zapatero has declared that the EU will become the dominant power in the world within 20 years, and pledged Spanish partnership with France and Germany to create the new hyperpower:
Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero brazenly declared the ultimate aim was to challenge
He declared: “
Zapatero was quizzed by German magazine Der Spiegel about the EU’s continuing need for US troops to deal with crises in the Balkans under the Nato umbrella.
He said: “Naturally it will still last some time, until we develop a closed defence policy. That can happen only after the agreement on a common foreign policy. The EU constitution is an important step in this direction.
“In 15 to 20 years we will surely have a foreign service for the EU.”
The Sun lambastes Tony Blair for signing onto the new EU constitution, claiming that it creates difficulties for
One of the reasons that
Zapatero has a habit of making wild prognostications, so taking him seriously may be a bit of a fool's errand anyway. The Spanish certainly covered themselves in glory when they elected this reluctant warrior, the man who predicts military glory after bugging out of

CBS—still hasn’t come clean. Where are the results of “MemoGate”?
There is talk that Howard Dean is going to be the Chair of the Democrat Party. Be Still My Heart.
Please—I’m begging you democrats—please—he’s earned the right and should be put in the Party Chair tomorrow!
The biggest false story of the msm was the Dan Rather memogate story, of course. Being a new blogger, I watched in amazement as Little Green Footballs and Power Line and Instapundit debunked the story in less than a day and Drudge provided communications with the mainstream media.
A lesser known, but extremely important story was about this blogger who debunked a bogus Associate Press report regarding booing of President Clinton when his heart surgery was announced at a Bush rally. (Complete with audio featuring no boos). Things that used to be ignored or spun by the news are now available with the 'rest of the story' online with links and sometimes visual proof. Proof that was easily attainable by the msm, but didn't quite fit their story.
Anyway you look at it; it is a boon for democracy. It is certainly a boon for the truth. It seemed pretty clear to me that stories that really did have no basis in truth quickly died, even online.
The bottom line here is that the left leaning media that proclaims itself mainstream can no longer have its stories go unchallenged. Who knows how this election might have turned out if the Rather's memo story had been accepted at face value or if the Swift boat guys had been ignored, which they certainly would have if it had not been for the bloggers, especially the milblogs. Who knows if any of us would have heard all the good news out of
MSM Starts Coming Clean
Reading Newsweek’s second major exposé of the Kerry campaign’s venality and corruption is a real eye-opener, as mainstream media begins to reveal how much negative publicity about Kerry they concealed during the election: The Vets Attack.
Wizbang points us to Newsweek's extensive insider report on the two Presidential campaigns, and declares it required reading. Never one to refuse Mr. Aylward, I have begun complying.
My favorite passage so far describes John Edwards reaction when told that some of the accusations against Kerry made by the Swift Boat Veterans were, er, true:
"[Edwards' aides] warned the veep candidate that the story was already out of control and about to get worse. Historian Douglas Brinkley, author of a wartime biography of Kerry, cautioned that Kerry's diary included mention of a meeting with some North Vietnamese terrorists in
Ya just gotta love this stuff.
All of which begs the question of is it right for a publication like Newsweek to realize how disorganized the Kerry campaign was and also state on the record that Lt. Kerry was unable to make decisions in times of pressure and then after having made a decision to immediately question what he just did—but reveal all this bad stuff “AFTER” the election and not before? What if this guy had won? Would any of his warts been exposed?

Yasser Arafat is sleeping—Not in a Coma.
Yasser Arafat is in stable condition in a French military hospital and not in a coma, a senior aide to the ailing Palestinian leader said early on Sunday.
“No, he’s not in a coma,” Nabil Abu Rdainah said in response to a reporter’s question outside the Percy military hospital in the

Kofi demonstrates again why we should throw the UN out of
Kofi Annan sought to protect the terrorists who continue their bloody grip on Fallujah by writing a letter to the governments of
In letters dated Oct. 31 and addressed to President Bush, British Prime Minister Tony Blair and interim Iraqi leader Ayad Allawi, Annan said using military force against insurgents in the city would further alienate Sunni Muslims already feeling left out of a political process orchestrated largely by Washington.
"I wish to share with you my increasing concern at the prospect of an escalation in violence, which I fear could be very disruptive for
"I also worry about the negative impact that major military assaults, in which the main burden seems bound to be borne by American forces, are likely to have on the prospects for encouraging a broader participation by Iraqis in the political process, including in the elections."
Notice that Annan lays the blame for "escalating violence" at the feet of the Allawi government and the Anglo-American coalition that supports it. This has always been the UN approach; blame the victims for the terrorism. It matters little to Annan and the UN that the Allawi government has tried patiently -- a little too patiently, in my opinion -- to negotiate a peaceful solution with Fallujans, who absolutely refuse to give up the foreign terrorists that behead civilians for entertainment. "This is not the apocalypse. But it is the most formidable challenge to American liberalism in our time." That is the reaction from the editors of the
Let me offer two cents: This is the end of American liberalism, as we know it. After every previous defeat, they denied reality and made excuses. Reagan was just a charming actor. The 1994 GOP takeover of Congress was a fluke. Gore was the real winner in 2000, Bush just stole the election. The entire 2002 results were a result of an attack ad on Max Cleland. Voters who keep throwing Democrats out of office are just simple-minded fools, swayed by Karl Rove's Jedi Mind tricks.
When the turnout improves, the Democrats would sweep into office, they kept telling themselves.
If Kerry had won, the war would undoubtedly be repudiated in the press everywhere. But now that Bush has won, it has been decided that he won on other issues like gay marriage and abortion.
MoveOn should move on:
Only four of the 26 Democratic challengers for Congress and governorships endorsed and bankrolled by the left-wing MoveOn PAC were elected Tuesday, but some suffered from that organization's support.

- Continue to alienate guys like Zell Miller—you’re right guys like him are just idiots.
- There must be a way to sell liberalism to the great unwashed in the Red States—so please keep trying to tell them that Al Sharpton is a credible candidate.
- You’re absolutely right about those dumb schmucks in flyover country. They’re just too damn dumb to understand that income redistribution is the best way to run an economy.
- Never stop telling the American Electorate how stupid George Bush is.
- You must do a better job of claiming voter suppression. So what if over 120 million voted this time—you lost—so obviously YOUR voters were systemically suppressed.
- Now that all of the 11 States of the old Confederacy have gone republican and 18 of the 22 Senators are now republican does not warrant changing the tactic of telling those dumbass Southerners that they are nothing but racist trash and that NASCAR is for beer swilling twits. You don’t need them anyway!
- Make John Zogby the Party’s official pollster.
- Keep nominating those very haughty Northeastern liberal stalwarts. While you have had a small setback don’t let that change your mind that you are right and those church going lunatics are just too ignorant to know that they are wrong. I mean—the nerve of those rednecks!
- Spend more time with the Hollywood elite. While it doesn’t seem to garner any votes you have been getting the vast majority of their money and that has to count for something. After all—they are the pretty people.
- Please keep making more appearances with Michael Moore. It’s only a matter of time until he is revered as Harry Truman.
- Getting Al Franken out there is another feather in your cap. Keep up the good work. You just gotta love his radio program.
- It's time you make Paul Krugman the official economist and political pundit of the Party. And don't for one minute think that he is more smarmy than --say--Michael Moore. Not true! He's cute.
- Make sure you re-elect Terry McAuliffe as your Party Chair. He’s doing a fabulous job!
- Write letters to Ted Kennedy and Chuck Schumer right now making sure that they immediately begin the filibuster process on any Bush judicial nominee. That seemed to win a lot of voters in this last election cycle. I don’t think it’s important that the Republicans gained five Senate seats. That was a fluke.
- Don’t listen to James Carville about remaking the Party and its image and goals. What the hell does he know?
- Make Howard Dean the Ombudsman of the party and make sure that he is on the talking head shows at least once a week.
- If Dan Rather retires from CBS make sure you get him to run for a House seat in Texas . He’s a shoo-in.
- Make sure you get George Soros to commit more than just a paltry $27 million—the guy can afford it for Christ’s sake. And while getting a bigger participation from MoveOn and ACT keep screaming about campaign finance reform.
- Make sure you stay aligned with the Trail Lawyers and Big Labor—it’s working –no really—it’s working!
- Have Senator Boxer introduce legislation to make Wind Surfing the National Pastime. Baseball is way to boring.
- And listen—if you find out that any republican has a gay son or daughter make sure and tell Senator Kerry so he can mention it in passing on the Senate floor. The folks really like that.

The first thing that strikes me now that Lt. Kerry has conceded is how many days until the contenders in the Democrat Party begin the dance for position in the next Presidential election cycle? I think it’s safe to assume that at the moment Mrs. Clinton is the front runner and my view is that no one should take the lady lightly.
Watch for these things to happen.
1. Hillary will begin to move to the right of center over the next year or so. She will become hawkish on the war on terror and maybe even support the administration on issues that go against the grain of normal opposition politics.
2. Watch for Hillary to become a big supporter and sponsor of all things military. This includes legislation and appropriations for the war on terror and new efforts to take care of the wounded and families of those KIA.
3. She will become more strident with foreign governments that have not supported us in the Iraqi intervention and just may pick a fight with the French.
4. I would not be surprised to se Hillary jump in and work with President Bush on Social Security and or Medi-Care reform. She will endeavor to patch up the boondoggle of national healthcare during her husband’s administration. There is a lot to be gained in the South and Southwest by reaching across the aisle and working with Bush.
5. And watch closely if Mrs. Clinton doesn’t subtly and ingeniously begin to attack the Main Stream Media. She is smart enough to know that the biggest loser in this last campaign was CBS and the New York Times.
The bottom line is that Mrs. Clinton is a lot smarter than the main line republicans are going to want to admit. She works hard and is politically savvy as hell. She is also living with probably the best rock star politician in my lifetime.
So—how have some loving liberals reacted to Ohio putting the President over the top?
These are some actual e-mails sent to the Ohio community by caring, loving liberal democrats:
Love for Ohio by caring loving liberal democrats
I am so disgusted with the political and social landscape of Ohio. Your state is full of racist, intolerant, very low class, inbred hicks. As a young, sophisticated, well-educated, professional colored guy, I have experienced more ignorance, racism and xenophobia in Ohio than most other areas above the mason-dixon line. I have also experienced a considerable amount of subtle and blatant job discrimination in Ohio. I bet that my vote probably wasn't even counted in my precinct, which is in a western suburb of Cleveland. I strongly regret moving to Ohio few months ago. Therefore, I will be relocating back to a more progressive state very soon and will not be spending anymore of my hard-earned money in your culturally backward fucking state. Also, Ohio women are a bunch of ugly, closed-minded, sexually-repressed white trash bitches.
Are you people stupid? How can your stupid state give Bush 20 electoral votes? You are a disgrace to this country, because of you we are all going to suffer 4 years of living hell. You are so stupid you don't realize the consequences of what's going to happen to this great land: unemployement, terrorist atacks, higher taxes, bye bye civil rights.. The whole world is laughing at us in disbelief of the stupidity of the people of your state.
Why is it that only states with well educated people vote democrat? Is it a coincidence that MA, NY, NJ, CT, CA, ME, VT, NH vote democrat? Aren't all the good schools in the country in those states?
You fucking idiots still think you are important enough that a terrorist might attack your sorry ass state.
You get what you deserve, enjoy the next 4 years.
See my post from yesterday you dumb fucks. I told you Ohio would be the next Florida. What’s wrong someone fuck with your ballet. Made you stand in line till your feat hurt. Did someone give you a piece of blank paper and told you to write down the name of the guy you want for President. And they said it would count. Did the CHAD stick in the hole. DUMB FUCKING ASSHOLES.
At least in FLORIDA we know why FLORIDA went for BUSHHOG. THE FUCKING ELECTRIC CHEAT MACHINES THAT HAVE THE ABILITY TO CHANGE AND MINIPULATE THE VOTE. HEEEELP.
I HATE THIS COUNTRY AND ALL REPUBLICANS SHOULD DIE. They will soon. Do I hear Iraq Calling your kids. Give them a bible and a rubber and tell them to have fun.
Ah yes, the patry of love and compassion.
By the way—has anyone heard from Michael Moore since Kerry threw in the towel?
Under the heading of “Who give a Shit!
The health of the father of modern terrorism is seriously deteriorating, and the French have put him into intensive care.
The health of Palestinian Authority Chairman Yasser Arafat seriously deteriorated Wednesday night.
He was placed in an intensive-care unit at the French military hospital where he is being treated.
Arafat was flown to France for treatment last Friday after his health worsened.
RODGER MORROW: "First President Bush was misunderestimated.
Now he has been unredefeated."
(ya gotta love it)
And now a message from one of the “AssHat” Liberal Weenies:
Asshat Eric Alterman:
**”Let’s face it. It’s not Kerry’s fault. It’s not Nader’s fault (this time). It’s not the media’s fault (though they do bear a heavy responsibility for much of what ails our political system). It’s not “our” fault either. The problem is just this: Slightly more than half of the citizens of this country simply do not care about what those of us in the “reality-based community” say or believe about anything.”**
Don’t you just love the logic of the left?
And now some of the losers in this last election:
-- The terrorists who now have to face another four years of Bush and don't get the breather that Kerry would have given them.
-- The mainstream media that damaged their credibility with "memogate" and the phony "missing explosives story" all in an effort to help someone who lost.
-- Terry McAuliffe who has now led the Dems to two disastrous defeats in 2002 and 2004.
-- Iran and North Korea who were obviously hoping for lenient treatment & sweet deals from a Kerry administration just shot snake eyes.
-- Old Europe which was looking forward to a neutered "Kerry America" just got four more years of a man they really don't like.
-- Advocates of gay marriage who saw it voted down everywhere it came up for vote.
-- Bill Clinton who isn't going to take Kofi Annan's job as long as George Bush is in the White House.
-- The people doing the exit polling. How did it bomb out so badly?
-- Zogby, who went out of his way to tell everyone that Bush has no chance of winning this election and predicted a big victory for Kerry. That's the 2nd election in a row that Zogby stunk it up worse than any other major pollster.
