Simply put: they have lost America's trust. It is not that the Republicans have gained that trust, which they so squandered years ago, but that the Democrats blew it. And Nancy Pelosi was at the helm. A recent poll emphasizes this fact: Most voters think Congress's ethics have gotten worse in the past two years, with 57% of likely voters believing that the ethical situation on Capitol Hill has deteriorated since PrezBo took office.
